Ask the hands-free, voice-activated device any question, be it study questions or what the hockey score is, and Amazon’s Alexa AI will search the web to get you the answer. Plus, with a few simple words, the Echo Dot can control any lights in your house, set an alarm, notify you of your schedule, quiz you on homework, or Google your study qualms.
I gave this a four star review only because of the price. I loved the snacks and everything that was in the box but feel that it is a tiny bit pricey and just a small amount lower would be more suitable. The items were fantastic. I am a very healthy eater and was introduced to some items that I never heard of before and learned to love new and healthy snacks. They had dried corn in the box among some other dried fruits. At first I was skeptical, but then I found out that I loved it and it was only 2 points on the points diet that I am following and have lost 15 pounds in the past 6 weeks on. I don't want to risk my losing weight for snacks, so this box was a real treat as everything in ... full review
For her, it's a cool piece of wearable tech to rock in her new office. For you, it's an investment in her health and peace of mind. This top-of-the-line smartwatch offers virtual coaching for her workouts and even holds more than 300 songs for her exercise soundtrack. The GPS-enabled device holds a 4-day charge, so she can track her bicycle commutes and her weekend runs without losing battery life.

When I found myself suddenly single with 2 small children, I had to think hard about gifts. I had no money. I started what we call an envelope Christmas I made the kids an envelope for every week of the year. Each week they got to open an envelope, which contained something special they got to do with me. It cost very little. It was just time together. Baking, going to the park, etc. Now my kids are in their 20s and still call to make sure they’re going to get their envelopes! Now they get one a month. They include anything from a home cooked meal, to a girls’ day out.

Once the daily PE classes or high school sports teams wind down, it becomes all too easy for college students to lower their level of physical activity. Sometimes it takes a bribe, in the form of a tech gadget they covet, to get them moving again. Some gift options include, a fitness tracker (Fitbits start at $100) Bluetooth earbuds (The Wirecutter recommends the $100 Jlab Epic 2), insulated water bottles like S’ip by S’Well ($25 each) or a new gym bag.

HUEVEMBER is a month-long art challenge where artists around the world and across mediums follow prompts to create color themed art every day of the month. Although every artist interprets the challenge in their own way there are a few standards which are followed. Due to the fact that this is supposed to be a challenge, artists attempt to feature a different color every day they participate. Many artists will also use this challenging period to do more than use an abundance of color. Artists who use color in their work on an everyday basis have been known to step outside of their comfort zone and use a new medium or even test colorful art supplies during this challenge.
Comic books are a growing market, and there’s a lot more out there these days than just Marvel and DC. There are classics like The Watchmen (for someone who’s interested in a new take on superhero tropes), socio-political graphic memoirs like Persepolis or Maus, and literary works from Chris Ware or Daniel Clowes. A great recent series is The Wicked + The Divine, about 12 gods who are incarnated every 90 years as David Bowie-esque pop stars.

I own both the Livescribe 3 and the Echo pen from Livescribe. I'm not interested in all the features, so I'll just write about what I've focused on doing: transforming handwriting in ink in my notebook to editable text in a Word document. BOTH PENS CAN DO THIS. Though Livescribe 3 does an extraordinary job of keeping this information from you. Livescribe all but sabotages itself with its terrible web site and near useless manuals.
A new camera would be a great gift for an aspiring filmmaker — or just a student who’s excited to share their study-abroad experience with family and friends. “I love making videos, so having something smaller and easier to transport would be awesome,” says Howard Lin, a senior at University of Florida. “My dream would be the Sony Alpha A9, but it costs quite a bit so most likely not. I think a Sony Rx100 Mark V.”
The thing about college is it’s a brand new experience for most students – the first time they’re stepping out on their own and almost certainly learning how easily they lose their important belongings. For a cool twenty bucks you can gift them the peace of mind to not lose their keys, wallet, etc. Just slip the Tile Mate onto a keyring, into a wallet, or into the back of a backpack and you’ll be able to cue up a GPS pinpoint of exactly where that thing is. Too bad it doesn’t remind them to call home every once in a while.
If you ask any college student, I’m pretty sure they would say that it seems like they have lived on coffee for periods at college and the Hamilton Beach 49980A 2-Way Single-Serve Coffee Brewer and Full Pot Coffee Maker is the perfect, flexible way to provide the go-juice your student needs.  They can save money by brewing their own coffee instead of picking up expensive Starbucks and blowing their scarce cash.  It’s easy to use, even for a college Brainiac, and it has plenty of features and flexibility to make it an indispensable college appliance.  This model actually doubles as both a single-serve Keurig-style coffee brewer for just one 14-oz. serving of great coffee for the student or a full 12-cup carafe coffeemaker for late-night study sessions with fellow students.  It features a non-stick hot plate, automatic shutoff, a built-in programmable clock/timer, and an adjustable single-serve side multi-level cup rest that adjusts to fit all cup and mug sizes.  This will be their go-to gift over and over during their college career.

It is that time of year where everyone is looking for the perfect gift for loved ones, some of us are poor or don't know what to get that special person. It may seem easy to pick out presents for college students because at this point they are probably running out of everything: money, food and motivation. I have compiled a list of ideas for the college student and/or peer in your life!

Between tuition, textbooks, groceries, and, most importantly, the daily coffee fund, the bills can add up, not leaving lots of room for college students to let loose. Consider a practical gift, one that will make their studying a little less stressful or make their downtime a little more fun. A fun subscription service, like Graze, that delivers delicious, healthy study snacks every other week, or MeUndies, that delivers uber-comfy new underwear every month, will help make their life easier so they can get back to the books.
I love this! I use this for holding my laptop or iPad while watching tv on the couch. I pay bills, online shop, play video games, etc. I love the size. It's perfect. The wrist rest is awesome for typing to helping to avoid carpel tunnel if you type a lot like me. I haven't had to use the light but I love that it's there. I love that there is an extension on the side for added room though I haven't had to use that yet either. Great product! It's a must have if you are like me multitasking while watching tv in the living room and bedroom.
Still haven’t found what you are looking for? Campus bookstores have a huge array of college-branded items that can be ordered online, many at the very last minute. College kids love gift cards to local restaurants that are above their pay grade or to the neighborhood pizza joint so that they can treat a gang of friends. Ditto with gift cards to yoga, spin, and barre classes. Here are some great wallets for young men and a hoodie for anyone headed to a career in tech. Patagonia beanies come in every cozy warm style and color and we love the cable stitch ones for women.
You like the idea of throwing them to the wolves, but then you remember how many times you’ve sat back and watched in disbelief. Add a car to the mix and it only gets worse. Trust us, roadside assistance is a really good idea. Because deep down inside, you know that for every happy ending, there’s a 1990 Camaro on the side of the road somewhere with a skeleton in the front seat.
