If you ask any college student, I’m pretty sure they would say that it seems like they have lived on coffee for periods at college and the Hamilton Beach 49980A 2-Way Single-Serve Coffee Brewer and Full Pot Coffee Maker is the perfect, flexible way to provide the go-juice your student needs.  They can save money by brewing their own coffee instead of picking up expensive Starbucks and blowing their scarce cash.  It’s easy to use, even for a college Brainiac, and it has plenty of features and flexibility to make it an indispensable college appliance.  This model actually doubles as both a single-serve Keurig-style coffee brewer for just one 14-oz. serving of great coffee for the student or a full 12-cup carafe coffeemaker for late-night study sessions with fellow students.  It features a non-stick hot plate, automatic shutoff, a built-in programmable clock/timer, and an adjustable single-serve side multi-level cup rest that adjusts to fit all cup and mug sizes.  This will be their go-to gift over and over during their college career.
For picnics on the quad, summertime camping trips, or even just watching flicks in the common room, the rumpl blanket is a cross between a sleeping bag and a duvet — a.k.a. a must-have for any adventure. Have you found yourself a guy not ready to step into the mature world of cologne? Then a video game is perfect for him. But have you really payed any attention to what he’s playing? Saint Joseph University senior suggests getting Call of Duty Black Ops 2 or one of the Fifas. Not only will this make his day, but it will give you the perfect chance for some space. Want to have a girls’ night? Just remind him that he’s so close to that next level up, and you can say goodbye to clingly texts.
Sometimes guys’ obsessions with video games can seem a little hard to understand. But if your boyfriend loves them, you can’t pass up an opportunity to hand him something related to it. Buying your man something related to his favorite game, like Overwatch, will show him how much you care. “Even if she hates video games,” said University of Iowa junior Wyatt Dlouhy, “it’s nice to see her go out of her way to learn about something she doesn’t care much about.” Your thoughtfulness will mean so much more than a video game session.
I love to give a nice batch of homemade cookies or candies. Truffles are easy to make and well received. I like to make biscotti because they are cheap, easy, and most people really like them. They are expensive to buy ready-made, so people seem to think they are extra good. Most people love them and you can give an assortment of flavors if you have a lot of people to give to.

I ordered this tool for my son. He is going away to college and I knew that he would need some sort of tools to put together cheap dorm room furniture and hang pictures, etc. I didn't want anything too big so this is perfect and seems to have everything he would need. It is the "Swiss army knife" of tools. It looks like good quality so we will se how it holds up over time. Any place you need tools but don't want to take up space this is useful, like your car or camping.

So when the holidays roll around, gifts can be a godsend — if they're useful and thoughtful. Those uses can range from fun, like card games, to practical, like noise-canceling headphones for the library, backpacks that can go from class to internship, and a laundry hamper with adjustable straps so they don't have to drag their hamper down the dorm steps.

Starting last month, my Roku 4's fan started running constantly and making strange noises that I could hear 2 rooms away. I thought other reviewers were exaggerating about the noise, but it is LOUD. I contacted customer service to report the issue and worked through their suggested steps of rebooting the thing, unplugging it, resetting... Read more

The holidays are coming up and you really haven’t been dating your boyfriend for that long. Cologne seems serious, dorm décor too intimate and tickets can get price-y. But you can’t go wrong with a snazzy t-shirt. This is the perfect way to hint that a casual date doesn’t need to involve a free school t-shirt. Fitted, soft and tailored to his tastes these shirts show even a guy in a tee can be arm candy.
For students who need to take a break from the books, the Breathe app offers guided deep breaths to assist with meditation or just winding down. Offering all of the same benefits and apps as its predecessors, the Series 4 boasts improved health features, including an ECG monitor which can help the wearer monitor their athletic performance — perfect for helping students remember not to neglect their wellbeing in the midst of midterms — while also alerting them about any heart abnormality, from a low heartbeat to an irregular rhythm. To ensure you can always get in contact with them, the LTE compatibility results in better cellular reception.

Unless you live in Florida or Southern California, it’s probably cold where you are. And cold-weather accessories are, at least for me, always the first things that go missing just when you need them. They fall out of a pocket, or somehow find their way under the seat of your car, or you toss them in the back of the closet and only rediscover them the following summer when you’re looking for some long-lost piece of sports equipment.

I purchased the XL version of this bag on May, 11 2015 and I have carried it nearly every day since. I bought this to replace a similar messenger bag made by Rapid Dominance, because I was searching for something with a bit more of a vintage style. I researched quite a few different bags before deciding on this particular model. The bag arrived within a few days of my order, it was boxed and bagged inside the box. I was immediately amazed by the quality of the bag. The size was perfect at 17.3". I excitedly began jamming my daily stuff into the new bag. It easily holds my binder, and a variety of small things that I carry daily. I do not use this bag for transporting any type of laptop, so I cannot speak to using it for that purpose.
The Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones edge out the crowded pack of over-the-ear headphones through deep, powerful sound (provided by proprietary Bose-engineered designs), a pillow-like headband and precise rotating ear pads, alongside an almost excessively long cable with inline remote. Factor that into pretty serious noise isolation, and these are the perfect “chilling in a dorm bed” headphones. There's a 20-hour battery life per charge (and 40 in wired mode) and they weigh just 10.9 ounces.
A few months ago, commuting meant crossing the quad. Now, commuting means walking to the train station and taking a 45-minute ride across state lines. She’s really going to need her daily jolt of caffeine. Ensure she’s fully energized by the time she sits down at her cubicle with this portable espresso maker. A removable top doubles as a cup for maximum enjoyment enroute.
Something every student needs from time to time, particularly if they live in an apartment instead of the dorm, is a way to assemble, repair, tighten, hammer, measure, hang, and just generally handle many daily tasks.  Your student could buy tools as he needs them, but that can lead to frustration and delay.  A better way is to have a personal tool kit, like the Stanley 65-Piece Homeowner’s Tool Kit with Screwdriver Set and MaxSteel Adjustable Wrench with all the tools he needs to handle most common tasks like tightening screws, measuring tight spaces, repairing a bicycle, hanging pictures, assembling furniture, handling DIY projects, and much more.  Your student gets one 13-ounce hammer, one 16-foot tape rule, one 18mm snap-off knife, one torpedo level, one long nose and one slip joint pliers, one Phillips screwdriver, one standard tip screwdriver, eight SAE and eight metric hex keys, one 1/4-inch round-head ratchet, eight SAE 1/4-inch sockets, one 1/4-inch spinner handle, one 1/4-inch bit holder, and 30 bits in addition to a 10-piece fluted screwdriver set and a handy 6-inch MaxSteel adjustable wrench.  All of the tools except the additional screwdriver set and the MaxSteel wrench come neatly packed in their own tough, blow-molded plastic case for easy transport to any task.  Tools come with a limited lifetime warranty so you know they’ll last.  Give a gift they will probably use almost every day, not just at college, but for a lifetime.
I was thrilled at the idea of taking notes with this pen and then having them converted to digital text. The Livescribe website says that you can purchase MyScript software separately, and that will convert your notes to digital text. However, after I purchased the pen and tried to buy MyScript, I found out that the software is no longer available for purchase. I contacted Livescribe and they confirmed that they no longer offer a way to convert notes to digital text, even though their website still claims this is possible.
True story: I asked for a subscription to The Economist for several years in a row, and never got it, and it always bummed me out. Now, The Economist is not a cheap gift (there’s a reason I asked someone else to buy it for me) but there are plenty of other magazines subscriptions to be had for far less than the combined newsstand price of a few issues. (For instance, you can get three months of print and digital access to the New Yorker for only $12, plus a free tote bag!)

Everyone striking out on their own needs a good set of knives, and these stainless-steel babies do the trick. Their ergonomic handles make slicing easier, and the color-coding with help prevent your newbie chef from cross-contaminating his foods.

The concept is awesome. The application is alright. Sound quality is okay. Overall, I use this every day for lectures. All of my lectures get recorded, but I very rarely upload and listen to content back. I believe this is helpful to studiers and I think it helped improve the way I study. Among other changes, this helped raise my GPA to a 4.0 this semester. I would recommend this concept, but I would also look to see if there are superior products out there.
We all get sick of real life from time to time, and that extends to the things we put in our mouths. These tablets, made from the West African miracle berry, alter taste perception by turning sour flavors to sweet. Drink a bottle of lemon juice like it’s Kool-Aid, or eat a lime like it’s a strawberry. Guaranteed to confuse, worry, and astound everyone you know.
